I just can't resist a good meme

I'm reading about them and writing about them, so I thought, why not just succumb completely and have some fun with them as well? I've signed up for doctorwho_100 . 100 stories about one "character" on 100 predefined themes.

I've chosen The Adherents of the Repeated Meme, who make their sole appearance in "The End of the World." My interest is not in the literal characters (who are remote controlled robots bearing Trojan Horses), but in their character as revealed by the Doctor:

When you stop to think about it, a repeated meme is just an idea and that’s all they are, an idea....A nice little cover for the real troublemaker.

I think I will enjoy it--it's really more a thinking game than anything. I'll be posting the snippets on Teaspoon and just linking them to this post; no need to infect my friends list with my quasi-philo-fictional musings. I'm not writing about them as they are literally presented in the series (hooded and robed remote controlled robots), but as the Doctor reveals them to be--ideas in the hands of dangerous beings.
