Small Victories

It's Monday, which is generally a day I don't enjoy, but today was actually pretty good.
Not too exciting, but a good day all the same. Oh, and I had chocolate cake for dessert. That's always good.
- The weather is cold. I wasn't dressed for the weather. The heat isn't on in my building yet. But I am a knitter, and I keep a handknit shawl in my office. Life was good and tinged with a soft, silky wool wrap today.
- I had fun teaching today.
- I had a thinking breakthrough today and explained it to someone who was enthusiastic about the idea. That was nice.
- I did some necessary planning.
- I remembered to watch Chuck--which was awesome--and My Own Worst Enemy--which has entirely made up for the suck that is Heroes. Monday nights are getting better.
- I figured out what happens next in I'll Meet You, which is about 2 chapters away from what was last posted. I was a bit worried when I woke up this morning; I've been working out plot problems in my sleep, but last night I took Nyquil because I was feeling really ill, and I dreamt about very boring things.
Not too exciting, but a good day all the same. Oh, and I had chocolate cake for dessert. That's always good.

on 2008-10-28 02:12 pm (UTC)I have a feeling my cold is not so cold as your cold, but I shiver in sympathy. At least I'm getting to wear a favorite sweater today...
