If you're sick of Who-news, enjoy this bit of pseudo-French fluff:

We're becoming hardcore FOTC fans here.

But on the whole business of Matt Smith--after watching this, I can't help but smile. Can't wait to see what's coming.

When he covered his mouth and actually lifted up two fingers when he said he read two of the scripts... I was in love. Yeah, I like him. I'm a complete traitor to Ten and I don't care. I love the Doctor, not his regenerations. To me, though they each have a number, they're all the same person. I'm excited to see what he does with the role.

That bit of the interview was cute, and I kinda giggled along with him, but it was the part when he talked about preparing the role that made me less "meh" than I had been before. He didn't say anything brilliant, mind, but his comments were rational, realistic, and indicative of someone who takes his work seriously--I can appreciate that.

Flight of the Conchords are FTW! My sister bought [livejournal.com profile] autifon their CD for Xmas, and he loved it so much that I got him the DVD for his birthday--he's watching it as I type this. They're really brilliant!

Same here. I liked that though he might not spout brilliance with every utterance, he thought about his answers. I hate to say this, but I'm more into his look than DT's, and I took a quicker shining to him. But then again, I love it when we get new doctors. That's what's fun and exciting about the show. I don't think I'll cry quite as much when Ten regenerates.

That extended interview was interesting - he sounds less clueless and more intelligent about it in that bit than he did in the bit we actually saw on the programme.

When I watched the Confidential (yes, I'm still up--almost in bed, LOL), I was surprised that they'd chosen the bits they did for his introduction! He kinda came off as an idiot on the show, and I think I would have been a great deal more upset had I seen the Confidential first.

Hence my disappointment, because I did see the Confidential first and he really did seem clueless and idiotic compared to the more extended interview.

Now go to bed, wifey!! :P
