fourzoas: (W&G Knitting)

LittleZ was christened/baptized/dunked on Saturday. We hosted a houseful of family and friends, ate much gumbo and cake, and generally passed a good time.

I cast off the last stitch on his christening gown about 30 minutes before we arrived at the church. I committed what I consider a knitting travesty: I used a steam iron to "block" the gown. It's far too short for a proper christening gown, but given the climate in this Deep South state, I think it was just right. And this is as long as I had time to knit.

Pics are a bit yellow; one with baby is more true to color.

Yarn: Jaggerspun Zephyr Off-White (held double)
